Visit by Metropolitan Jonah on March 29, 2009

Visit by Metropolitan Jonah - 03/29/09

It was with great joy that we welcomed our beloved Primate and Diocesan Shepherd, His Beatitude Metropolitan JONAH, to his parish of St. Vladimir.  Our parish was indeed blessed to have His Beatitude here with us, praying with us, and leading us in the celebration of the Divine Liturgy and then to break bread with us during the Festive Lenten Luncheon.  A great highlight of the day was the time spent with the Church School Children and the children's participation in the Divine Liturgy seeing not only a hierarchical Divine Liturgy but also witnessing the awarding of Protodeacon to one of the serving deacons....something very special for everyone. May GOD continue to bless His Beatitude with many more blessed years of good health and happiness.  Enjoy the Pictures:):)

YOUTH SUNDAY - February 1, 2009

On Sunday February 1, 2009, the children of our beloved parish participated in the Divine Liturgy by fulfilling the responsibilities that are usually handled by the adults.  Responsibilities such as: lighting the candles, reading the Epistle, holding the communion cloth, assisting with the collection baskets, pouring the wine for after communion, as well as listening attentively to the sermon gave the children the opportunity to not only be in church but more so to be apart of church. As this will be a tradition here at St. Vladimir's on the first Sunday of every month, please enjoy the pictures to get a taste of how the children bring beauty to the Divine Liturgy.

Blessing of Daria Hall & Church School Feb. 1, 2009

On Sunday February 1, 2009, Fr. Jason, with the help of the church school children, blessed the Church School Classrooms as well as Daria Hall. It was such a joy to see the children participate in this great celebration.  We chose February 1 as this was Youth Sunday.  The first Sunday of every month is dedicated to the youth of our parish. So, as you can see, the children enjoyed leading Father around as he blessed their classrooms and Daria Hall.  We hope you enjoy the pictures of this wonderful event within the life of our parish.
